 Adobe have just released the latest version of their popular (and oft necessary) Flash Player, now at version 11. Whenever a new update to Flash Player is made available many computer users find themselves being bombarded by requests to install the update. While keeping software up to date is a good best practice you should always use caution when updating Adobe's Flash Player when requested to do so by a website as quite often 'fake updates' are run on less than secure sites which will not update Flash Player but will instead install a virus on your computer leading to all sorts of problems down the line. The best way to update Flash Player is to download the update direct from Adobe's own website, thus ensuring you are getting the real thing. As of Monday 19th September our Opening hours are changing a little. Monday to Friday 10am till 5pm (opining 30 minutes later) Saturdays will remain unchanged at 11am till 2pm. Price Drop for Windows 7 Reloads 09/02/2011
 Windows 7 - £50 (save £25.00) At Evolve we do not simply 'scrub' a copy of Windows and install it again fresh. Documents are backed up and virus scanned, Windows is installed, the most up to date hardware drivers are installed, Windows is performance optimised and brought up to date with all the latest Service Packs and security patches, an anti-virus product is installed, configured and updated, documents are restored and then virus-scanned again. After all of that, the system is stress tested and finally made ready for collection. It's a long-winded process, however in an effort to make Evolve's pricing fairer, it's been decided that since the latest and greatest edition of Windows has a much faster installation and configuration process, the cost of Windows 7 reloads is now reduced by £25.00. The price WILL go back up to match other Windows versions eventually, when the list of updates becomes almost as long as that of XP and Vista, or when Windows 8 is released (whichever is sooner), but from today onwards, a Windows 7 reload at Evolve (with all the above benefits) shall not exceed £50.  Thank You What can I say? This has been a very busy week indeed. Evolve has taken in a variety of work, including Virus Removal, RAM upgrades, Performance Optimisation, Windows Reloads, button repairs, keyboard replacements as well as a few Custom Builds and much more. I like weeks like this, they keep things interesting to say the least. So Thank You to all of you have popped in with a repair, to ask a question, called in on the phone or sent an email.  FREE QUICK FIX This hasn't yet been properly advertised on the website yet, but if you have passed by the shop in Honey Street then you may have noticed some signage in the window referring to FREE repairs on any work that takes less than 15 minutes (some conditions apply - please ask). It's as simple as that and there are no catches, but here is a quick explainer...
 Bank Holiday Weekend As I mentioned above, this week has been extremely busy and as such there is still some work on the bench that will not be completed before the weekend is upon us, therefore I would like to advise customers in advance that any repairs that you need worked on may have to be delayed until Tuesday. However, if your computer can be fixed quickly then it shall be slotted in between other repairs. So, if you think the repair will take more than an hour or two then please be aware that there may be a delay. Have a great weekend! Less than a tenner! 08/24/2011

Due to an exponential error made on the part of BT yesterday, Evolve is currently without a telephone line, meaning we are unable to make or receive calls at the moment. We have been promised by BT that this fault will be resolved, however it could take up to one week. Please bare with us, we are working with BT to resolve the issue & will have more news soon.
